The Blue Fronted Amazon is primarily green. It has a yellow face, with the blue feathers around the beak. It's shoulders have a yellow and red patch.

These birds are very good at talking. They are a very popular parrot. The Amazons are very affectionate, but the males can be difficult after they reach sexual maturity. Good early training is required to prevent the male Amazons from becoming too mean.
These birds are known to be noisey.
