Physical Description

The Orange Winged Amazon looks very much like a Blue Fronted Amazon.. It has a yellow face, with the blue feathers around the beak. The difference between the Blue Fronted and the Orange Wing is the distinctive orange color on the wings - hence the name.

Trainability

These birds are very good at talking. They are a very popular parrot. The Amazons are very affectionate, but the males can be difficult after they reach sexual maturity. Good early training is required to prevent the male Amazons from becoming too mean.
