Lesser Sulfer Crested Cockatoo Description

• Physical Description

  Large white bird with the definitive cockatoo crest. Lesser sulphur crests are small, have yellow crests & cheek patches, and their latin name is Cacatua sulphurea sulphurea. Citron crested cockatoos are a subspecies of the lesser; they have the orange crest & cheek patches.

  The males have darker eyes than females.

  Indonesia in the areas east and northeast of Java and the Celebes

  These birds can be taught to talk and whistle. They can also be taught tricks. Although they aren't as good speakers as Greys, they can speak.
